We participated in the Self Drive Tour on 16th May.
It took less than 2 hours to drive to the destination – Heilongtan(Black Dragon Pool). We were off into the hills after taking a break. We spent about 2 hours exploring the river that feed the Heilongtan Pool and eventually reached the head of the valley. It was steep and bare stone was carved into a narrow ravine. Here everyone is expected to get into homemade rafts that made from tyre inner tubes with a plywood bottom. The track back down goes be a different route. We then circled around the lake on a path clinging to the opposite side of the canyon's steep sides until we finally got back out on to road we travelled in on. We returned the departure and chose to have a dinner in the farmyard. Hiking is a good aerobic exercise. What an incredible day!
